Description
What This Course Covers

In our course Introduction to SEO, you gained high-level insight into what SEO is, how it affects your ranking in search engines, and how to implement basic SEO into your website. If you did not take that course or don’t feel that you have a solid understanding of SEO basics, I highly recommend that you take that course first. It will help you understand some of the terminologies that we use when discussing this higher-level of SEO understanding in the course. It may also help to dive into our course Understanding and Increasing Your Domain Authority, as this is referenced at various points throughout the course.
Understanding SEO: On-Page vs. On-Site vs. Off-Site is designed to delve specifically into how various aspects of SEO affect your site’s ranking. And how creating a comprehensive strategy that takes these three aspects of SEO into consideration will improve your SEO ranking and help drive more and steady traffic to your content.
We will cover this over three separate chapters:
- On-Site SEO
- On-Page SEO
- Off-Site SEO
On-Site SEO
On-Site SEO will take a broader approach to help you understand that SEO goes far beyond just what you put on a page or a piece of content. Search engines often take your entire website into consideration when choosing its ranking results. This chapter will focus on items such as:
- What is on-site SEO?
- Organizing your website
- Internal linking
- Creating a site menu
- Creating a powerful homepage
On-Page SEO
On-Page SEO will cover all of the specifics that you will need to craft your individual pages, articles, or pieces of content in order to maximize your page success and Google rankings. This will cover items such as
- What is on-page SEO?
- Crafting great content
- Keeping visitors on your page
- Creating cornerstone content
Off-Site SEO
Off-Site SEO will cover everything involved in SEO that happens outside of your website. Some of these items lie outside of your control, others can be heavily influenced by your actions. This section will cover items such as:
- What is off-site SEO?
- PA, DA, and TF
- External links and anchor text
- Link building
- Social media links

This included a heavy focus on the WordPress platform and content marketing strategies.
Now Kevin spends his time between developing training for The Blogger Collective, traveling the world (usually with his wife and two children), and finding new and creative road trips to test his love for overlanding.
